Opening titles: evidence of footage

Justin Bieber- Sunday 31st October

We went to film an interview with a Justin Bieber obsesser named Emma, unfortunatly when we checked the sound after her interview there was no audio present, this mean that we had to re film at the later date of Sunday 7th November, the second recording went well and had full audio.

Harry Potter interview, Wednesday 13 October

We conducted an interview with a Harry Potter fan, the images above show the setting up of the camera and the background that we chose to fit in with the subject of the interview. Unfortunately the setting up of the camera was wrong and the interview was filmed with too much background therefore leading to easy distractions for the people watching the interview, meaning that we have had to re-arrange another meeting within the next couple of days.

Interview Questions

1.Do you think you have an obsession?
2. How did you first get into Harry Potter and why do you like it?
3. Did you read the books first? and did the movies live up to them?
4. Who is your favourite character and why?
5. What lengths would you go to, to meet the cast?
6. What is your favourite film and why?
7. what do your friends and family think about your obsession with it?
8.Do you think you will ever grow out of it, and why?
9. Are you interested in anybody else? what other obsessions have you had?

7.)Is having an obsession recognised as a mental illness?

8.)What is OCD?

13.)How much do you think the media has an effect on people and obsessions?

14.)How much do you think video games have an effect on obsessions?

15.)At what point does an obsession become dangerous?

We conducted an interview with a phycologist Mr De, unfortunately the positioning of the camera meant that it was un-suitable to be used in our documentary therefore meaning we had to conduct another interview with a more suitable camera position. We have print screened an image of the wrong camera shot to show what is wrong about it. Next time we have the interview we will position the camera lower to create a sense of power and use up the space that has been left to the side of the screen.
We did conduct another interview a few days later and then discovered that there was no audio present on this interview either, we have asked to conduct yet another interview which we will complete within the next week.

Logging sheet

This sheet is where we logged all of our footage to, we used it to show which footage was good and we were able to you or which footage was not so good therefore could not use in our documentary.

Edit Decision List

To help in the creation of completing our media documentary I made an edit decision list which we could then use throughout the production to help us know what we originally intended to do whilst editing it. Some of the things we had orginally decided to do did not abode well with the rest of the documentary therefore we had to change some detail.

Primary research

We organised interviews with different obsessive people who are all obsessed with things such as twilight, Justin Bieber, Harry Potter, Mr De the psycology teacher, somebody who suffers with obsessive compulsive disorder and someone who has been able to get over one of their obsessions.

Some people suffer with the obsession of looking good constantly, for this we tweeted as a group to Gok Wan to see if we could set up an interview with him but we have not yet had any response. I took a print screen of the web page for proof of what we did.

Secondary research

These screen shots have been taken from Facebook to show an obsession of Justin Bieber

This is a youtube clip of obsessive fans all over the world and how they have made one day in the year specifically dedicated to 'The Jonas Brothers'.
